Studies of Kremlin disinformation in AI chatbots: November update

Our new measurement in the United States added 1,000 responses of ten AI assistants before the elections of 3 November, and these are the ten largest studies by the number of responses that the authors collected themselves:

  • πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Princeton University - 70,798 responses
  • πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ University of Oxford - 67,200
  • πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ͺ Institute of the Estonian Language (EKI) and Propastop - 22,950
  • πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Dosimeter - 3,783
  • πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Demos - 3,000
  • πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ NewsGuard - 1,541
  • πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ University of Bern and partners - 1,406
  • πŸ‡΅πŸ‡±πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ Anna KamiΕ„ska and Tetiana Klynina - 1,200
  • πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ Detector Media - 750
  • πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Global Disinformation Index (GDI) - 560

Princeton, Oxford and the Institute of the Estonian Language sent their questions to the models through the API, the programming interface for developers, while we ask the chatbots in their apps and on their websites, the way people use them. Our responses and the sources they cite are open on GitHub.

If we missed a study, write to contact@dosimeteraudit.org and we will add it to the list.
